Dear scientific community,

The proponents of the Manifesto Ciência 2018, invite you to participate in the 2^nd of a series of conferences to discuss the Portuguese scientific system. The topic is Human Resources and Scientific Careers and it will take place on 4 February, at the Auditorium of Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (3.2.14), Campo Grande. This conference, promoted by Biosystems and Integrative Sciences Institute (BioISI) and Instituto de Ciências Sociais (ICS), will start with a round-table discussing different scientific systems and research careers and will include several presentations. Please consult the programme for additional information.

From the discussions taking place throughout this conference series, an advice paper will result comprising feasible proposals for the improvement of the Portuguese Scientific System.
