EIT COVID-19 Response

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is an EU body created by the European Union in 2008 to strengthen Europe’s ability to innovate. The EIT is an integral part of Horizon 2020, the EU’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.

The opportunities presented in this section are to apply and participate in entrepreneurial education, business creation and acceleration, innovation, EIT RIS, global outreach and citizen engagement activities run by the EIT’s Knowledge and Innovation Communities.

SR&TD Projects Portugal-India

In order to support and encourage cooperation between research institutions, universities and R&D centers in India and Portugal, the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and Department of Science and Technology of India (DST) opened a call to fund Scientific Research and Technological Development Joint Projects, developed in close collaboration by Portuguese and Indian research teams in the following priority areas of common interest:

  • Biotechnology;
  • Energy;
  • Environment;
  • Infrastructure Sustainability;
  • Climate Change;
  • Disaster Management;
  • Marine Science & Technology.

All projects related to S&T solutions against COVID-19/ Pandemic which falls under the above given subjects will be encouraged and considered.

Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU)

The Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) is responsible for the implementation of open Call for proposals for Research and Innovation Actions (RIAs), Innovation Actions (IAs – DEMOs and FLAGs) and Coordination and Support Actions (CSAs), in line with the Horizon 2020 rules for participation.

Projects on Prevention and Fighting of Forest Fires

This award will support the projects for 36 months (48 max)

O concurso apoiará projetos pelo período máximo de 36 meses (prorrogável, no máximo, por mais 12 meses, em casos devidamente justificados).

O limite máximo de financiamento de cada projeto é de 300 mil euros.

As candidaturas devem ser apresentadas, em língua inglesa, em formulário próprio e submetidas eletronicamente através do Portal de Concursos de Projetos de I&D no período compreendido entre o dia 19 de dezembro 2019 e as 17h00, hora de Lisboa, do dia 20 de fevereiro de 2020.

A digitalização da Declaração de Compromisso de cada candidatura (assinada pelo IR e instituições beneficiárias) terá de ser submetida obrigatoriamente num único documento PDF no Portal de Concursos de Projetos de I&D até às 17h00, hora de Lisboa, do dia 6 de março de 2020.

European Joint Programme for Rare Diseases (EJP RD)

Topic: PRE-CLINICAL RESEARCH TO DEVELOP EFFECTIVE THERAPIES FOR RARE DISEASES

The aim of the call is to enable scientists in different countries to build an effective collaboration on a common interdisciplinary research project based on complementarities and sharing of expertise, with a clear future benefit for patients.
