The BioISI Projects 2023 Edition results are now available!

For one more year, BioISI distinguishes the best and most novelty-based science by attributing 5000 € funding to the 5 best R&D projects among the interdisciplinary proposals submitted by young PIs within BioISI Projects 2023 call.

Meet below this year’s admitted projects:

  • Project Title: Unveiling metabolic regulation by non-enzymatic post-translational modifications using a combination of computational and experimental methodologies | PI1: Bruno L. Víctor| PI2: Bárbara Henriques
  • Project Title: Investigation on the protective role of nanoparticle sprays on grapes against biotic stress | PI1: Florent Weiler | PI2: Gianmaria Califano | PI3: Helena Gaspar
  • Project Title: Investigating altered lipid raft dynamics following seizures at hippocampal synapses | PI1: Diana Cunha-Reis | PI2: Ana Carapeto
  • Project Title: Evaluation of the botanical constituents of honey from Northern Portugal using molecular and chemical approachesPI1: Juliana Lopes | PI2: Ana Cláudia Escudeiro
  • Project Title: Integrating dry-lab/wet-lab approaches to unveil serine protease’s role in grapevine immunity | PI1: Rita Basílio Santos | PI2: Miguel Machuqueiro

Congratulations to the winners! May this be an opportunity to cross different BioISI Thematic Lines and ‘cement’  its diverse areas so as to further promote integrative and great science!
