Alan Philips, Maria José Calhorda, Margarida Amaral, Miquéias Lopes-Pacheco and Rui Malhó are the five BioISI Researchers among the list of those who were higly-cited in 2022, according to the Elsevier ranking.

Diana Cunha-Reis published a new paper, first-authored by José Rosa, on which they conclude that certain lipid molecules present in the structures responsible for the communication between neurons can be the key for developing therapies to prevent epilepsy.
