World Autism Awareness Day | April 02
April 2 marks the World Autism Awareness Day. Today we want to share with you how BioISI researchers from the Systems approaches for Personalized medicine Lab (included in the Biomedical and Translational Research Group) at Instituto Nacional de Saúde Dr. Ricardo Jorge, work to highlight the genetic and environmental risk factors involved in the development of the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and to better understand the biological processes that are disrupted within it. The main goal of their research is to shape future and potential early diagnostic tools and life quality improvement strategies so that autistic people can fully live their lives and fulfill themselves.
