On the past November 10th, a delegation of high dignitaries, professors, researchers, and doctoral students from the Shanghai University visited Ciências ULisboa and some of BioISI infrastructures within the scope of renewing the protocol between the University of Lisbon and that Chinese university.

This visit aimed to strengthen academic ties between the University of Lisbon and the University of Shanghai concerning the establishment of the ULisboa School Shanghai. This is a faculty of ULisboa, created in September 2021 on the campus of the University of Shanghai, offering undergraduate and doctoral programs taught in partnership with five faculties of ULisboa.

Currently, there are three researchers from BioISI( and professors at Ciências ULisboa) contributing to the educational offer of ULisboa School Shanghai: Helena Gaspar, Manuela Pereira, and Margarida Amaral, group leaders of the Molecular Biodiscovery and Functional Bioanalysis Lab, the Bioenergetics ab and the Cystic Fibrosis Research Lab, respectively.
